Llan de Cubel is an Asturian folk music group dedicated to exploring and reinterpreting the traditional music of Asturias, giving it a fresh and distinctive sound.

The group's sound is acoustic. The melodic and percussive elements are primarily carried by traditional Asturian instruments, including the bagpipe (gaita), fiddle, wooden transverse flute, drum and frame drums (panderos). The harmonic foundation is provided by acoustic guitar and bouzouki, which also contribute to the solid rhythmic drive that is so characteristic of the group. Electric instruments, such as bass pedals and keyboards, are used only as occasional support in specific passages of certain pieces. Although the group's approach is essentially instrumental, it also explores vocal music, drawing on the long and rich tradition of singing within Asturian folk music.

Since its beginnings in 1984, Llan de Cubel has played an active role in the revitalisation of Asturian traditional culture, contributing significantly to its dissemination, particularly in the fields of music and language. Today, the group is one of the most established and influential groups in the Asturian folk movement, serving as an important reference point and source of inspiration for new generations of musicians.
