Glasgow Libraries are delighted to welcome the PlayTalkRead bus in partnership with the Glasgow Science Festival!

Our double-decker play bus Benji and the team are on their way to Glasgow! Hop on board to discover lots of fun activities for you and your wee ones to do together. We have arts & crafts, messy play, fancy dress, and lots of books all themed on nature, science and transport for you to enjoy. 

Our activities are for families with children 0-4 years old. PlayTalkRead is a programme delivered by Smart Play Network and funded by the Scottish Government as an extension of their ParentClub initiative.

Please note we cannot accommodate visits from childcare settings. 

The bus will be open at 10:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 4:00pm in each location below:

  • Monday 8th June - Castlemilk Library
  • Tuesday 9th June - Glasgow Club Tollcross 
  • Wednesday 10th June - Library at the Bridge
  • Friday 12th June - Govan Salvation Army Community Church, 44 Golspie St, Glasgow G51 3EW
