Wintering Well at Glasgow Life Libraries
SAD lamp loans and winter wellbeing support
Winter can be tough, with fewer daylight hours affecting mood and energy. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) can bring low mood and anxiety during the darker months, but support is available.
As part of Wintering Well, you can borrow a portable, plug-in SAD lamp, designed to mimic natural daylight and bring a little extra brightness to the darker winter months.
SAD lamps are available to borrow from all Glasgow Life libraries completely free of charge.
Enjoy a free Winter Warmer at your local library
This winter, our libraries are opening their doors even wider to offer a little extra comfort to our communities.
Visitors can enjoy free hot drinks and a cosy, welcoming space to relax, read, or simply take a breather from the cold.
All welcome!
